Morning Special Assembly- Teacher's Day and Janmashtami (2018)

Assemblies are an important feature of School’s routine. They also form a significant part of the school’s curriculum. They are a means to create a positive, reflective ethos and promote value-based education. They powerfully nurture the development of intrapersonal intelligence.
At our School classes take turns to present on a theme identified for the week. On 29 April 2006, the students of class 5A (PRIMUS) presented their assembly on the terrace. Their topic was ‘ Teacher's Day and Krishna Janamashtami, which are just round the corner.
The assembly was conducted in the form of a Radio Show, Gauri and Sidhyati being the two radio jockeys. It started with Hindi and English thoughts followed by national and international news, sports news and weather reports in Hindi and English.
Devansh, Sana, Jhanvi, Kashika and Tanush also presented poems and speeches in Hindi and English on the current topics. Aarav Shokeen and Daksh explained 'Gita Updesh' in the form of dialogues between Paarth (Arjuna) and Krishna.
Student reporters interviewed their teachers and asked varied questions from them like their hobbies, inspiration, views on students' discipline nowadays and reason behind their choice of teaching profession.
The assembly ended with a melodious song on Janamashtami by the whole class.
The assembly gave students a chance to learn about India's mythology, history, great leaders and their own teachers. Overall it was an enriching experience for everyone.
